In the 80's I worked for a small gvt' contract R&D lab in lexington. We had a product we designed and built for intelsat, and eutelsat wanted some. One of the head hardware guys was armenian, and he was tapped to do some continent hopping and do installations. That was, until he found out they wanted him to go to turkey. His manager had a 'get over it' attitude. It turns out, the owner of the company was a jewish concentration camp survivor (I forget which one). The armenian went to the owner, said "I'm not going to turkey, I'm armenian". The owner replied "no, you are not going to turkey. Some one else will go".
