Monday Connecticut Radio Special

Here's some culture for you. Thanks for tuning in. The Ray Wilie Hubbard version did not allow embedding, but you can find it here. No need to thank me. When I enrich your life, it enriches my life.

EXTRA! - If you're still standing here's more. You have to promise to listen all the way to the end. What can I say, it was a long drive to Farmington.

  1. I swear I saw you pulling DFL briefly at Chainbiter. No race report?

  2. Hell, you saw it, why do you need a report? Yes, my Thursday night registration netted me a nice starting spot in the back row. I stayed there as long as I could, but they were falling by the wayside with mechanicals as soon as we turned off the pavement. I weaved through a small pileup at the sandpit, then had a good first lap, trying to just stay under control. Missing the month of October didn't do much for the race lungs, so I'm conservative. Steady progress until I managed to bail for no reason the second time through the sandpit with the corner. Kind of went into the red zone scurrying out of there. Eventually hooked up with Timmy and stopped reeling in anyone ahead of us. Spags came back from his mishap and rode through me and Timmy, and I jumped on him as we took the bell. Last time through the pit I could here them giving Pascal the one to go, so good thing it was the last lap as he couldn't have been more than 2 minutes back. Tried to take Spags but he rode me off on the long grind hill. No pressure from behind so I just dogged it in. Not much to write home about.

  3. Trackrich, you see the Time frame on Belgian Knee Warmers?

    It's not one of those...

  4. Oh I get it... you actually bought G's power tap and you're too embarrassed so you listed it as another "frame"...

  5. Nope, no power tap. I'd go with the SRM, but then I'd need 9 of them.

This is just going to be a winter bike. My "race" cross bike has not bottle nor fender mounts, so I bought a cheap aluminum frame. We normal-size people are lucky like that. Now I have some work to do... Good luck using me as a reference. I'm flattered, but that's just not good judgment dude...
