This is why I don't prereg

Yeah, 18 degrees. Might be a balmy 30 by the 11 am start of the masters, but do I want to take that chance? Maybe 35 by the noon 2/3 race? Or do I save the $35 entry, the $20 worth of gas, the risk that this little sting I'm sitting on is not just a saddle sore, and simply head out for a 20k run in my nice new shoes? This one's not so tough... Thanks for reading.

  1. Slacker. Your boys in green and brown were out there today and I was looking for you. Didn't see the oh so pro HD contractor glasses so I gave up :) Warmups for the 9 a.m. race suuuuuuuuuuuuucked. By about 1/2 way through our race it was becoming tolerable, but it never got anywhere close to warm...

  2. Hey I may not be a Craft-equipped, pink jacket wearing, hot black FTS skinsuit peelin' offin', baggie rockin' mutant ninja ski racer/mountain biker, but I'll bet I've still got more sub 30 degree cross races behind me than you. And most of them were "A" races. And yes, I even took home prize money once or twice.

But hey, it didn't turn out to be such a bad day for cross after all. Oh well. I still saved over half a yard. And I didn't have to sit on a bike seat... And Rich, yeah, sorry I missed you, but it was an even nicer day for a long run in the woods. Maybe Wrentham...
